The 29th annual Detroit Music Awards held a special, online ceremony last night (April 19) to name the winners for the 2020 edition.

As for rock, some of the night's big winners included Johnny "Bee" Badanjek for Outstanding Rock Instrumentalist, Dead in 5 for Outstanding Heavy Rock Artist/Group, Dirk Kroll for Outstanding Rock Songwriter and The Muggs for Outstanding Rock Recording for "Eye to Eye," to name a few.

On the national scene, Alice Cooper won Outstanding National Major Label Recording for "Breadcrumbs," Greta Van Fleet scored Outstanding National Single for "Lover, Leaver" and Iggy Pop picked up Outstanding National Small/Independent Label Recording for "Free."
