The Office premiered here in the United States 15 years ago today on March 24th, 2005. I was very late to the game. In fact, I didn’t even like the show when it was airing on television.

Back in 2017, I decided to binge watch the entire series and finally understood what was so fantastic about it! For me, it’s not just how awkward Michael is. Each character brings something special to the show and I’m glad I gave it a chance. That being said, these are my top 5 favorite episodes:

The Return

Originally aired on January 18th, 2007. Jim and Pam prank Andy by hiding his phone in the ceiling and Andy reacts by punching a hole in the wall.

The Dinner Party

Originally aired April 10th, 2008. The level of discomfort in this entire episode is cringe-worthy, and that’s probably why I love it so much. Also, Michael’s plasma TV!! Are you kidding me?! LOL!

Lecture CircuitĀ

This episode was broken into two parts, the first of which aired on February 5th, 2009. Jim and Dwight become the heads of the party planning committee. They forget Kelly’s birthday, and Dwight has some of the most fantastic party decorations I’ve ever seen.

The Injury

Originally aired February 12th, 2006. Michael burns his foot on a George Foreman Grill.

Beach Games

Originally aired May 10th, 2007. Michael takes the office on a “beach retreat,” and I really feel like the episode is a turning point for the plot of the series.
