Weekends Saturday 3pm-7pm, Sunday 7pm-10pm

Getting antsy yet? Running out of things to keep you occupied? It’s a good thing no one is going to judge you for wasting hours in front of the television right now. Here are 5 Netflix shows I’ve enjoyed and think you will too!

Jason Bateman’s side-job as a money launderer for the “second largest drug cartel in Mexico” becomes his main job, forcing him and his family to swap their home in Chicago for the grim, redneck-drenched Ozark Lakes in Missouri. Naturally, complications arise.

Black Mirror

Set in a not-so-distant future, Black Mirror is a bit like the classic TV series The Twilight Zone. Dark, sometimes satiric, themes examine modern society, particularly the unanticipated consequences of new technologies. Give this one a shot, for sure.

Peaky Blinders

Peaky Blinders is a crime drama set in 1920s Birmingham, England in the aftermath of World War I. Thomas Shelby and his brothers return from the war and reclaim control over the city. But as Shelby’s ambitions grow beyond Birmingham, he plans to build on the business empire he’s created, and stop anyone who gets in his way. A terrific cast of characters.

The Good Place

Lighten things up by watching Kristen Bell as Eleonor Shellstrop, a woman who has been sent to the “Good Place” after her death because she led a life full of positive actions and contributions on earth. The only problem is that there was a mix-up and Eleonor actually wasn’t that good during her life time; in fact she was pretty awful. Worried that she will be sent to the “Bad Place” if anyone finds out, she sets out to become a better person. Hilarity ensues.

Santa Clarita Diet

Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant are f’ing awesome as Joel and Sheila Hammond, married, suburban real estate agents in Santa Clarita, California. All is well until Sheila undergoes a metamorphosis. She becomes undead and starts craving human flesh. A great watch if you like dark, quirky comedy.

Happy viewing! Stay symptom-free. Wash your goddamn hands.
