Donovan Mitchell On Testing Positive For Coronavirus
NBA player Donovan Mitchell was the second professional basketball player to test positive for the coronavirus. Mitchell’s teammate Rudy Gobert was the first.
On Monday (Mar. 16), Mitchell chatted with Good Morning America‘s Robin Roberts via video chat while the NBA star was in isolation. Mitchell gave an update on his current condition.
When Roberts asked Mitchell how he was feeling, he responded, “I’m fine, things are going well. Just in isolation, I got a unique setup. Got no fever, no symptoms as of right now and just blessed to be okay, Right now, the biggest thing for me is to just stay in isolation and just keep to myself.”
Mitchell went on to explain that he didn’t have any symptoms when he was tested. “I’m really blessed that that’s what’s the case,” Mitchell said.
He then explained what the coronavirus testing experience was like. “It’s really interesting. It was as swab in the throat,” Mitchell said before explaining that the testing was “unique” and he ended up crying during it.
“That’s the scariest part about this virus is that you may seem fine, be fine, and you never know who you may be talking to and who they’re going home to.” Watch the clip below.
