Stay safe!
Daisy of Love (Hulu, Amazon Prime)
Flash back to 2009, and perhaps you'll remember "Daisy of Love," the VH1 rock 'n' roll reality dating show featuring Daisy De La Hoya, who was the runner-up on Bret Michaels of Poison's dating show, "Rock of Love." I absolutely love this show, and it's definitely my guilty pleasure, so imagine my delight when I discovered the full season of "Daisy of Love" is streaming on Hulu! I'm sure I'll watch the full season again during this COVID-19 era. It's just a fun, wild show, and Riki Rachtman hosts it.
Rock of Love (Hulu, Amazon Prime)
Before "Daisy of Love," there was "Rock of Love," featuring Bret Michaels of Poison on a rock-fueled VH1 reality show. Michaels looks for the perfect rockstar girlfriend on the show, and who knows how "real" is it, but it's sure fun to watch.
The Rainbow (Amazon Prime)
I've always wanted to visit The Rainbow Bar and Grill on the Sunset Strip, but haven't had the chance yet. At least there's this cool documentary about the venue, called "The Rainbow," which features legendary rockers telling their stories about the longstanding music venue, including Lemmy Kilmister.
Hired Gun (Netflix)
If you love a good music documentary like I do, then try "Hired Gun," which is about session and touring musicians that are hired by famous musicians such as Alice Cooper, KISS and Billy Joel. Jason Hook of Five Finger Death Punch produced the documentary, and it's incredibly fascinating.
Anvil: Anvil! The Story of Anvil (Amazon Prime)
Eighties Canadian metal band Anvil could have been the biggest band in the world, but they were dealt a rough hand of cards. The documentary "Anvil: Anvil! The Story of Anvil" tells their tale, and it's cool to see legendary musicians like Slash in the film talk about Anvil's influence on their playing.
