James Hetfield’s first live performance since entering rehab last year came in an unexpected place – an Eddie Money tribute concert in Beverly Hills. Hetfield took the stage for a solo rendition of “Baby Hold On” at the star-studded tribute show, which included performances by Sammy Hagar, Rick Springfield, and George Thorogood. Proceeds went to the USC Eddie Money Cancer Research Fund.
Metallica was forced to cancel an Australian tour when Hetfield entered rehab last September. They’re set to tour South America starting in April.
