James Hetfield Is About To Show Off His Car Collection
I remember interviewing James a few years back and I asked him how many classic cars he owned. His response was “It sounds stupid to say, but I don’t know” laughter. Now he’s opening the garage and taking his cars out for a spin. Well, 10 of them to be exact. The Metallica frontman will show off his collection of custom, built from scratch classic cars at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles next month.
When “Reclaimed Rust: The James Hetfield Collection” opens on February 1st, fans can check out the vintages vehicles with names like “Black Pearl” (a 1948 Jaguar), and “VooDoo Priest” (a 1937 Lincoln Zephyr). In addition, Hetfield will also display pieces of memorabilia and some of his equipment, like an ESP Hollow Body guitar and a Mesa amplifier painted to match his Buick Skylark “Skyscraper”.
