Foo Fighters to Perform at Prince Grammy Tribute Show
Foo Fighters have added another high-profile performance to their Grammy weekend schedule.
Per Rolling Stone, the Foos are part of Let’s Go Crazy: The Grammy Salute to Prince taking place January 28 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The Prince tribute show will be filmed and will air in April. Also included on the bill are Beck, Common, H.E.R., Earth, Wind & Fire, Susanna Hoffs, Morris Day and the Time, St. Vincent, Mavis Staples, Chris Martin, Gary Clark, Jr., Juanes and Prince’s former backing band The Revolution. Sheila E., Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis will act as musical directors for the show.
Four nights before the Prince tribute on January 24, Foo Fighters will be taking part in the 2020 MusiCares Person of the Year gala honoring Aerosmith. That show will feature a wide variety of artists performing various Aerosmith classics. So far, the bill for the show includes Alice Cooper, Sammy Hagar, Cheap Trick, Gary Clark Jr., H.E.R., John Legend, John Mayer, Jonas Brothers, Emily King, Yola, LeAnn Rimes, Luis Fonsi, Ashley McBryde, Gavin DeGraw and Johnny Depp.
