Shopping not your thing on Black Friday?
We don’t blame you! Between the lines, fights and more often than not, sweating through your coat for some of us, it’s really just not worth it. That’s why the Michigan Department of Natural Resources has announced that on Friday, November 29th, all state parks will be open to the public! You won’t need the recreation passport for vehicles to enter! Any hunting or camping permits/licenses still apply.
This is part of REI’s #OptOutside campaign which began in 2015 with the DNR encouraging people to avoid the stress of shopping on Black Friday and go for a hike instead! Looking for a state park to check out? Here’s a list of Michigan’s State Parks! Read more about #OptOutside HERE.
