Sometimes rock music and the darker side make a perfect pair. Here's a few songs that depict the eviler, scarier elements of rock.

#3 - Type O Negative "Black No. 1".....One line says it all - "Loving you was like loving the dead." This time of the year is a perfect fit for Type O. R.I.P. Peter Steele

#2 - Alice Cooper "I Love The Dead." Alice has so many spine-tingling songs, this is just one of them. As a young guy listening to this song and many more, it left its mark on me.

I love the dead before they're cold
They're bluing flesh for me to hold
Cadaver eyes upon me see nothing
I love the dead before they rise
No farewells, no goodbyes....

#1 - Black Sabbath "Black Sabbath." I mean, does it get any creepier? The rain, the bells, the dark, heavy music, the lyrics. This song has it all. Many Sabbath/Ozzy songs could've made this list but this has to be the tops for me.

Big black shape with eyes of fire
Telling people their desire
Satan's sitting there, he's smiling
Watches those flames get higher and higher
Oh no, no, please god help me!

I could go on all day about other songs and bands. Songs from Iron Maiden, Rob Zombie, Dio, and on and on. What are some of your favorite scary rock songs?
