Meltdown on WRIF

Us Michiganders love our beer! Of course there’s so much craft beer here in the great state, but we’re also high on another beer list.

According to very unscientific survey released by Alcohol.org, Michiganders have a higher perceived tolerance to alcohol than most states. I guess we’re only second to Arizona.

How many 4.5% alcohol by volume beers does it take for you to start feeling drunk? That’s the simple question they asked of over 2,500 participants around the country.

The states with the lowest perceived tolerances are Hawaii, Idaho, Arkansas, Montana, and California. The national average is 3.45 beers.
