There are great teachers, and then there's this teacher that allowed one of their students to miss class so they could go to a Tool concert.

The following post was shared on the Tool reddit page that reads, "Taking my 12-year-old son to see Tool in Houston. My wife emailed his band director to make sure he wouldn't miss any practice or rehearsal the next day. This was her response."

The band director wrote back, "I this is, TOOL is a GOOD reason to miss it. My only response, take me with you guys! LOL. I am super jealous that he will have that opportunity and I will not punish him for missing for TOOL. How is he doing? Do you like their new album?"

If there's any special "Teacher of the Year" award in this school district, then this band director certainly deserves that honor.
