Tool is about two weeks away from the release of Fear Inoculum, and already, they’re making their presence known on the Billboard charts.
“Fear Inoculum,” the first single/title track from their sixth studio album, has debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at 93. The song clocks in at a whopping 10 minutes and 21 seconds, which according to Twitter account Chart Data, makes it the longest song to ever chart on the Billboard Hot 100.
On top of Tool’s new single, their catalog now being available for streaming as of August 2 has led to additional chart success on the Billboard 200 album chart. The band’s 1996 album Ænima has re-entered the chart at number 10 moving 33,000 equivalent album units, which is a 5,900% increase from the previous week.
Fear Inoculum comes out August 30 and is now available for pre-order through multiple platforms. A limited-edition CD package of the album, which features a 4” HD rechargeable screen with exclusive video footage, charging cable, 2 watt speaker, a 36-page booklet and a digital download card, can be pre-ordered through Amazon.
