“Ace of Spades” Named Greatest Gambling Song of All Time
GLASTONBURY, ENGLAND - JUNE 26: Lemmy from Motorhead performs on The Pyramid Stage during the Glastonbury Festival at Worthy Farm, Pilton on June 26, 2015 in Glastonbury, England. Now its 45th year the festival is one largest music festivals in the world and this year features headline acts Florence and the Machine, Kanye West and The Who. The Festival, which Michael Eavis started in 1970 when several hundred hippies paid just £1, now attracts more than 175,000 people. (Photo by Ian Gavan/Getty Images)
Someone alert Kenny Rogers, because there’s a new best gambling song in town.
PokerStars.com recently polled 1,000 of their European subscribers to ask what was their favorite “poker-themed” song, and Motorhead’s “Ace of Spade” was the overwhelming favorite with Lady Gaga‘s “Poker Fact” coming in a distant second.
Sure, the song says that “gambling’s for fools,” but that’s clearly the way voters like it, and they don’t want to live forever.
Now do yourself a favor and listen to “Ace of Spades” on repeat and don’t forget the joker.
