A Weather Reporter Refuses to Apologize for Airing Tornado Warnings During the NBA Playoffs
A weather reporter at WSET in Lynchburg, Virginia named George Flickinger had to explain why his station aired tornado warnings during an NBA playoff game back on May 12th.
Even though the warnings AND the game shared a split-screen, people called in to complain. He aired a couple of the calls during the video and it’s interesting to hear how mad the guys are, even though they still saw the game.
Ironically, this is the same reporter who was fired from a station in Tulsa back in 2006 for breaking into an NFL game to warn people about dangerous wildfires.
