A man arrested after giving officers a fake name while wearing his real name on a lanyard
Police in Lincoln, Nebraska were responding to a domestic dispute call. When they arrived to the home they found a man that matched the description of the person that they were looking for.
According to reports, he was sitting in a car outside of the residence, when police approached and asked him what his name was he stated “his name was Deangelo Towns.” The officer noticed that he had a lanyard around his neck with a different name on it, which matched the name of the man they were looking for.
When officers informed him that he was under arrest, a struggle ensued, but he was brought into custody. He was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest, obstructing a government operation, false reporting, among other things.
