We know Christmas songs are not always everyone’s favorite, but when these classics are in the hands of our favorite rockers, it’s difficult not to get into the holiday spirit.
Since today is the first day of December, here are six Christmas covers you should blast right now.
Small Town Titans – “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch”
The trio from York, Pa. may have recorded the most menacing cover of this track we’ve ever heard. (Bonus points to drummer Johnny Ross for his Paul Heyman t-shirt. For that alone, you’ve made our “Nice” list.)
August Burns Red – “Last Christmas”
Who knew this Wham! Christmas classic could kick so much ass?
Rob Halford – “O Holy Night”
Honestly, The Metal God could sing damn near anything, and we’d love it, but this cover is truly something else.
Alice Cooper – “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town”
Only Alice Cooper could make this cheery song a little scary.
Twisted Sister – “Oh Come All Ye Faithful”
Twisted Sister doesn’t veer too far from the source material but still manages to inject some edge into this Christmas favorite.
Lemmy Kilmister – “Run Run Rudolph”
Oh, Lemmy…how we miss your growl!
