VENICE, ITALY - NOVEMBER 19: A couple walks in a flooded Saint Mark's Square during high waters on November 19, 2013 in Venice, Italy. Venice will be affected by the high water for the next few days due to the passage of Cyclone Cleopatra that hit the Italian island of Sardinia causing devastating flooding, which has left at least 17 dead. At least six people have died from terrible flooding across Italy . . . but it was business as usual at a restaurant in Venice.  There’s video of customers and employees wading through ankle-deep water as if it’s just another day.

Everyone seems to be wearing boots, but still.  Also, Venice is used to this.  The city is a series of small islands divided by canals that have been overflowing periodically since day one.
