Foo Fighters and U2 are among an all-star group of musicians that will be featured on a new tribute album honoring glam rock icons T.Rex.

T.Rex is best known in the United States for their classic hit “(Bang A Gong) Get It On,” but the band, fronted by the late Marc Bolan, had a string of hits in the U.K. and Europe, and per Variety, those hits will be covered on a new tribute album slated for release in 2019.  In addition to the Foos and U2, other artists slated for the tribute album are Elton John, Joan Jett, Nick Cave, Perry Farrell and many more.

While a tracklisting has yet to be released, Variety is reporting that a source says U2 have recorded “(Bang A Gong) Get It On” for the album.

The tribute album will accompany a new documentary about T.Rex also slated for release in 2019.
