PALMA DE MALLORCA, SPAIN – FEBRUARY 07: A private security staff stand guard in the Palma de Mallorca courtroom, where Princess Cristina of Spain questioned by the judge Jose Castro during the ‘Noos trial’ on February 7, 2014 in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Princess Cristina of Spain will give evidence on Saturday February 8, 2014 as part of the trial against her husband Inaki Urdangarin over allegations that he misused millions of euros of public funds which were allocated to organise sports and tourism events during his time as chairman of a non-profit foundation from 2004 to 2006. Forget Jerry Springer, we want Judge R.W. Buzzard of the great state of Washington to have his own court show.  He jumped out from behind the bench to chase two inmates trying to escape his courtroom.  They were in cuffs but their legs were free.

Most of the pursuit was caught on courthouse security cams.  You see the two inmates running down several flights of stairs, and Judge Buzzard not far behind.  He eventually grabs one of them.  The other kept going but was captured later.

It started with four inmates being escorted out of the courtroom by a deputy, and then these two got the bright idea to escape, so they ran the other way.  The deputy stayed with the first two while the judge dropped his robe and became my hero.
