‘The Sandlot’ Prequel in the Works

This year marked the 25th anniversary of The Sandlot, and it looks like there’s more than just a little nostalgia about this film, which happens to be nostalgic.

Per Deadline.com, 20th Century Fox is currently in the early development stages of a prequel to this beloved baseball movie and already has original writer/director David Mickey Evans on board to co-write the new script.

So, what can fans expect from this prequel?  As of right now, the prequel’s plot will be based around “The Beast,” the legendary and heavily feared dog from the original film.

While we wait for more details about this movie, Patrick Renna, who played the loveable Hamilton “Ham” Porter in The Sandlot, shared this hilarious fan moment to his Twitter recently...and OH MY GOD!  He’s hanging out with Scotty Smalls (Tom Guiry)! You’re killing us, Patrick!
