A High School Pitcher Delays Celebrating to Console His Friend on the Losing Team
A high school pitcher in Minnesota ended a game with a strikeout, sending his team to the state championships. But before celebrating with his teammates, he HUGGED the kid he struck out because they’ve been friends since little league.
He talked about it later, saying, quote, “Our friendship is more important than just the silly outcome of a game. I had to make sure he knew that before we celebrated.”
This high school pitcher held off celebrating with his teammates so he could console his childhood friend instead.
