Thunder Bay Police Officers pulled over a vehicle for having plates that were not authorized for the vehicle.  When officers approached the driver they noticed something wasn’t right.

The driver was operating the vehicle while sitting in a lawn chair.  In addition to the vehicle having a lawn seat in place of a driver’s seat, the windshield was broken, a door handle was defective and preventing the doors from opening, no seatbelt buckles, and other things. Officers deemed the vehicle to be unsafe to drive.

The driver was also driving on a suspended license and had no insurance. The vehicle has been impounded.

Driving from a lawn chair results in numerous charges

THUNDER BAY - A young driver is facing numerous charges after being found operating an unsafe motor vehicle from the comfort of a lawn chair. According to a Thunder Bay Police Service media release, officers with the traffic unit stopped a pick-up truck Monday afternoon on Island Drive.
