Tool has just begun recording after a 12-year gap between their fourth and still unnamed fifth album.
Frontman Maynard James Keenan blames it on timing issues in a recent interview with Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich on his Beats 1 show. Keenan explained, “There’s a lot of timing issues with Tool getting to the studio, I always kind of guage where they’re at, and try to figure out where things are going.” Since the band wasn’t ready, he moved on to other projects.
A Perfect Circle recently released their new album, Eat The Elephant and will be hitting the road later this month. Both Tool and A Perfect Circle will be performing at this years’ Rock On The Range festival in Columbus, Ohio this May. Check out the interview with Lars below!
