The Foo Fighters/Rivers Cuomo Jam You Didn’t Know You Needed
GLASTONBURY, ENGLAND - JUNE 24: Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters performs on day 3 of the Glastonbury Festival 2017 at Worthy Farm, Pilton on June 24, 2017 in Glastonbury, England; INGLEWOOD, CA - DECEMBER 10: Rivers Cuomo of Weezer performs onstage during KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas 2017 at The Forum on December 10, 2017 in Inglewood, California.
We all love a little live jam session, so imagine how happy we were to find out Foo Fighters brought out Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo for a song on their final gig of their Australian tour.
Cuomo fronted the band on their cover of KISS’ “Detroit Rock City” that was prefaced with some light banter, so somewhere right now the King of Banter Paul Stanley is smiling.
Considering with Cuomo, Dave Grohl, Chris Shiflett and Pat Smear there were four guitarists on that stage, this cover is a guitar-lovers dream. Just perfection!
