VIDEO: Metallica Play Oasis’ “Don’t Look Back In Anger” in Manchester, England
Metallica created a special moment during its concert on Saturday night (October 28) in Manchester, England.
During their instrumental showcase, guitarist Kirk Hammett, bassist Robert Trujillo and drummer Lars Ulrich broke into “Don’t Look Back In Anger,” a hit by Manchester’s own Oasis that became an anthem for the city’s recovery after the May terror bombing at the same venue during an Ariana Grande concert in May.

The Manchester Arena sang along as the trio played the song, and Ulrich subsequently tweeted “What a moment!! Goosebumps” along with a series of emojis and hashtags and followed with another message, “Thank you Manchester for your show of perseverance, of unity, of defiance and, ultimately, of love!”

Metallica wraps up its latest European tour on November 3 in Belgium and will be laying a November 9 benefit in San Francisco for victims of recent wildfires in northern California.
The group returns to Europe for another WorldWired Tour leg in February.
