GLASTONBURY, ENGLAND - JUNE 24: Dave Grohl and Chris Shiflett of Foo Fighters perform on day 3 of the Glastonbury Festival 2017 at Worthy Farm, Pilton on June 24, 2017 in Glastonbury, England.

Foo Fighters delighted Japan’s Summer Sonic festival over the weekend by Rick Rolling it — with Rick Astley himself.

Frontman Dave Grohl introduced Astley as “our new best friend,” adding, “This is f***ing crazy. I just met him two years ago.” Astley then shouted, “Come on all you motherf***ers” before Foo Fighters kicked into the riff of Nirvana‘s “Smell Like Teen Spirit” that morphed into Astley’s smash “Never Gonna Give You Up.”

Grohl and Astley later posted a selfie of the two of them together in which the Foos expressed “special thanks to our new best friend!”
