A Cyclist Tackles a Guy Trying to Steal His Parked Bike
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - JUNE 11: Bikes are seen locked to a bike rack on June 11, 2014 in San Francisco, California. Bicycle thefts in San Francisco are on the rise with an average of one bike being stolen every three hours. In an attempt to curb the surge in thefts, the San Francisco police department has implemented a "bait bike" program that puts expensive bikes equipped with GPS on the streets with weak locks so they can be tracked when stolen. This is for anyone who’s ever dreamed of catching a bicycle thief in action. Security video in Ireland shows a guy parking his bike, but not locking it, and then leaving. Not even 20 seconds later someone comes by and tries to steal it.
Fortunately, the cyclist returns in time to TACKLE the guy . . . and then they square off and he gets the best of him. The thief leaves and the cyclist goes back to his bike.
