Jack White Drops First New Track Since 2014

With the exception of his duties at Third Man Records, Jack White has been rather quiet on the music front.  Until now.

White released the instrumental track “Battle Cry” onto various streaming services overnight.  (Stream below via Spotify and Apple Music.)  The song serves as the soundtrack to a new ad for Warstic Sports Inc., the independent sporting goods company co-owned by White which specializes in producing metal and wood bats.

Also featured in the ad is Detroit Tigers All-Star second baseman Ian Kinsler, who is also co-owner of Warstic along with White.

If you’re interested in buying a physical copy of “Battle Cry,” Third Man Records will be releasing a limited edition 7-inch single on gold vinyl  on Record Store Day, which falls on April 22.
