Could FOX Be Considering A Reboot For 'Firefly?'

Though it could be a pipe dream of teasing, but Movie Pilot shares that FOX's President of Entertainment David Madden said that the company would be open to a Firefly reboot about a Space Cowboy (Nathan Fillion) who has a team on a spaceship, that encounters all sorts of interesting quests.

The show was canceled after it's 1st season despite it's following, and so many people have called, craved, and urged for more.

The price for such a reboot, due to successes with others is the one main caviat: Madden says that Joss Whedon would have to be available to launch the second season, and willing to do so.

Movie Pilot notes in a BuzzFeed Interview, Joss stated that he'd love to continue firefly, but the fact that he had both Marvel Movies and was working on continuing Doctor Horrible's Sing Along Blog, he was far too busy around 2013. He did note this one clause:

""Couple years from now, when Nathan [Fillion]’s no longer [on] 'Castle' and I’m no longer the Tom Hagen of the Marvel Universe and making a giant movie, we might look and see where the market is then. But right now, it’s a complete non-Kickstarter for me."

For those who keep up with Nathan Fillion, he is no longer Rick Castle, as the show Castle finally came to completion. But not without many, many references to Firefly, and it's movie counterpart, Serenity on the famed Cop/Writer Dramady.

Castle: "Space Cowboy" (Firefly/Serenity)

Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) dresses up in his Mal Reynolds costume for Halloween. Or rather, a "space cowboy" in a brown trenchcoat that looks suspiciously like those the Browncoats wore in Firefly and Serenity. From Castle season 2 episode 6 "Vampire Weekend". Music: Reality Check by Salme Dahlstrom.

Hey... Hey Joss... Can we have more Firefly please?! Even if it has to be 2018! Just please make it happen!
