Dimebag Darrell, Faith No More and King Of Chaos make up the November 30th installment of “In Other Rock News…” Enjoy!
Dimebag Darrell's Unlikely Place Of Inspiration
We all multi-task every day, but it’s doubtful we do so like the late, great Dimebag Darrell Abbott.
Brother Vinnie Paul told Loudwire recently that Dime kept a guitar and tape recorder in his bathroom for those times creativity struck when he was…well…you know.
When Vinnie Paul asked Dime about the guitar, Dime apparently responded, “Man, that’s where I write all my riffs. That’s why my riffs are the sh*t!”
Words cannot express just how much we miss Dimebag Darrell, if only for this story.
GN'R/Faith No More Urban Legend Debunked
Rock is full of urban legends. Some of them are true, and then there’s the infamous tale of Faith No More’s Mike Patton going number two in an orange juice carton in Axl Rose’s dressing room.
In an interview with TeamRock, bassist Bill Gould puts rumors to rest and said that the Axl orange juice story is not true.
Gee…there sure is an unusual amount of poop-related stories today. Must be a slow news day.
Kings Of Chaos Announce Tour Dates
Finally (and breaking the poop news cycle), all-star cover band Kings Of Chaos have announced a series of tour dates for December. (See list below.) Kings of Chaos is made up of a variety of rockers, but the lineup for the upcoming tour will include Matt Sorum, Chester Bennington, Robin Zander, Billy Gibbons, Steve Stevens and Robert DeLeo.
As far as all-star band lineups go, this one doesn’t suck.
