Tool’s Danny Carey To Drum In ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’ House Band

We're STILL waiting for Tool's next album, but we'll be able to see drummer Danny Carey all next week on NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers.

The show has announced Carey's week-long residency with its 8G Band, starting on September 26; Carey joins a list of drummers who have sat in on the show this year, including Tim Alexander from Primus, Brann Dailor of Mastodon and Atom Willard of Against Me!

Tool has been working on a new album -- its first since 2006's 10,000 Days -- for a couple of years, with no news about its release. The group plays three shows during October in Salt Lake City (24), Denver (26) and Little Rock, Ark. (28).
