Best Damn Apple Ale Launches in Detroit by “Inventing the Weekend” at its Billboard…That’s Also a Bar
DETROIT [October 26, 2015] – This past Saturday, an estimated 150 people celebrated the launch of Best Damn Apple Ale at Detroit’s first-ever walkthrough billboard experience, located at 2000 Michigan Avenue.
During Saturday’s interactive event people played cornhole, giant Jenga and listened to local artist Dan Tillery, while enjoying a Best Damn Apple Ale. The area was made comfortable by SIT ON IT DETROIT, who provided the benches and seating. Woodward Throwbacks also designed a life-size bottle opener, which turned out to be a great photo opportunity for guests posing with a drink in hand.
“We wanted to bring excitement to Detroit and launch a new product in a different type of environment,” said Kathy Sattler, brand director, Best Damn Apple Ale. “Henry Ford invented the weekend, and Best Damn Apple Ale is bringing Detroit a fun setting where people can celebrate those two days in memorable ways.”
The Best Damn billboard will be open for different events Fridays (5-9pm) and Saturdays (3-9pm) through November 14, serving up Best Damn Apple Ale in support of local Detroit causes. All proceeds from last Saturday’s event went to Home FurEver, a Detroit-based canine rescue organization.
• Friday, October 30-31: Charitable Partner is The Empowerment Plan
• Friday, November 6-7: Charitable Partner is Eastern Market Corporation
