An Old Guy Who Went a Week Without Power Threatens to Kidnap an Employee and Blow Up a Substation

A guy in New Jersey lost power during a storm a week ago . . . and he was so upset on Monday that he threatened to kidnap one of his power company's employees AND blow up a substation.  He was arrested for making terroristic threats.


Police: Vernon man angry over power outage threatened JCP&L

VERNON -- A township man whose home has been without power since Friday's nor'easter threatened to kidnap a JCP&L employee and blow up a substation, authorities said. Robert Winter, 63, of the Glenwood section of Vernon, is charged with third-degree terroristic threats.
