The first-ever American Independence day was officially marked with joyous crowds mingling over bonfires, picnics, and fireworks that brightened the night sky.
July Fourth is a federal holiday in the United States that commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. If you went to history class in school, you should know this.
But everyone celebrates the holiday in different ways. Some families host the classic cookout, grilling hamburgers and hotdogs and pulling out the crockpot to warm up some sweet baked beans or spicy bbq meatballs while singing along to all things American. And what's a cookout without that traditional American flag cake that includes whip cream, blueberries, and strawberries? Some even dine out to strawberry shortcake or milk chocolate banana pudding!
Now, don't underestimate the sugary goodness of the flag cake and strawberry shortcake! But isn't time to change things up this year? Would you consider going even crazier with the patriotic yums?
Create fireworks in the kitchen this 4th of July! It's time to bake all kinds of unique and snazzy desserts to have at your cookout or party.
We have some ideas that might do the trick! Your guests will be blown away! These are desserts that both the adults and kids will love. We'll thank Pinterest for the help.
