There's apparently a baby boom on the newly started Metallica North American tour.
Opening act Avenged Sevenfold had to bow out of Friday's (May 12) show in Philadelphia when guitarist Synyster Gates' wife went into early labor, giving birth to a son. Now Volbeat -- which is sharing opening the tour's third slot with Gojira -- was forced to postpone a between-dates headlining show in New Jersey when frontman Michael Poulsen's wife gave birth to the couple's first child, also early.
Volbeat will still play the Metallica tour's next show on Wednesday (May 17) in Uniondale, N.Y. and make up the New Jersey show on July 17.
A7X, meanwhile, will play a headline show of its own on June 21 in Philly to make up for missing Friday's show.
