ABC's Good Morning America will get its Summer Concert Series off to a punk rock start this year.
Green Day will be the first act of the season, playing at the decidedly un-punk hour of 7 a.m. EST on May 19 in New York City's Central Park.
It will be a homecoming for the group, which is currently touring Australia and New Zealand, wrapping that trek up on March 14. It then heads to Europe starting June 4 at the Megaland festival in the Netherlands, while another North American leg for the tour supporting its new album, "Revolution Radio," kicks off August 1 in Auburn Wash.
