Johnny Depp Allegedly Has Sound Engineer Read Him Lines Through Earpiece

Well, that takes a lot away from acting, doesn't it?

According to Johnny Depp's former management's amended legal complaint, The Hollywood Reporter shared that one of the said complaints in regards to his lavish spending was that he spends "hundreds of thousands of dollars on a sound engineer who feeds him lines on set."

The attorney shared (THR quotes) that "Depp insisted that this sound engineer be kept on yearly retainer so that he no longer had to memorize his lines."

Um... Well... That's awkward if that's true. But that would explain why Johnny's characters, like Jack Sparrow or The Mad Hatter always seem like they are listening to something else while someone is delivering a line.

The report also notes that Johnny has a lack of impulse control and that he may suffer from a compulsive spending disorder.  Considering that the statistics provided by his former management contain "14 residences, 45 luxury vehicles, 70 collectible guitars and enough Hollywood memorabilia to fill 12 storage facilities," chances are, that's probably true as well. That might mean that Depp may have an addictive personality, which would mean that maybe his issues with ex-wife Amber Heard aren't so far off base.

On that note, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is set to release May 26, just in time to watch Johnny Depp allegedly play mockingbird.
