Linkin Park has released another song, "Good Goodbye,” from its upcoming new album One More Light.
Like the previously released "Heavy" and "Battle Symphony," "Good Goodbye" veers from the group's usual heavy path, this time collaborating with rappers Pusha T and Stormzy. The group's Mike Shinoda tells us he and his bandmates are aware they risk alienating fans but adds that anyone who's really paid attention to the group should not be too surprised:
"We've always been about mixing things. I mean, Hybrid Theory was the name of our band before we changed it to Linkin Park....Linkin Park fans know every album, you kinda never know what you're gonna get and the style can change dramatically and different elements, different genres that we listen to might sit more in the forefront than others."
"One More Light" is due out May 19 and Linkin Park starts touring to support it on May 6 at the Maximus Festival in Argentina. The group has shows so far in South America, Europe and Asia, with North American dates expected to be announced soon.
