Their new cold brew should already be at a location near you, since it was released on April 4th. In the press release, the company stated that the drink will be “lightly sweetened with toasted coconut syrup and finished with a delicate float of coconut milk which cascades throughout the cup.”

New at Starbucks--Toasted Coconut Cold Brew! Today's the day to try it. #starbucks #starbuckstruck

The tropical twist to an old classic will be sure to cool you down in these upcoming summer months.

Christal Canzler, Starbucks senior beverage developer states the reason why they selected this drink was because of the “simplicity of the coconut and honey flavors.” Naturally toasted coconut goes well with the “inherent sweet, chocolate notes of [Starbucks] cold brew.”

Adding the milk will just add for a hint “refreshing creaminess” that everyone aspires to have, especially after a long day at the beach or pool!

Starbuck’s cold brew line was launched in 2015. Ever since, customers have been flocking towards the drink. Their specific line, entitled the Starbucks Nariño 70 Cold Brew, blends Latin American and African coffees together. The coffee is brew in a small batch and takes approximately 20 hours to fully develop its flavor.

Many grocery stores are carrying Starbuck’s personal line of cold brews. Some flavors customers can expect to see in stores include: Vanilla Sweet Cream, Spiced Sweet Cream, Nitro Cold Brew, Starbucks Cold Brew, Cocoa and Honey, and unsweetened.

Regardless of the flavor, these all sound like a sweet treat guaranteed to cool you off. Not to mention, if you are like us, you will feel less guilty about the purchase if there is healthy coconut milk in the mix!
