Sammy Hagar and James Hetfield have stacked the deck with musical friends for their fourth annual Acoustic-4-A-Cure benefit, taking place May 15 at the Fillmore in San Francisco.
Hagar will be joined by Foo Fighters leader Dave Grohl, Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead/Dead & Company, Pat Benatar, Mick Fleetwood, former Eagles guitarist Don Felder, Steve Vai and Sarah McLachlan. Hetfield, who's taken part in the previous shows, can't attend this year because of commitments to Metallica’s WorldWired Tour.
Proceeds from the show go to the University of California-San Francisco Children's Hospital. Tickets for this year's concert go on sale at 1 p.m. ET on Friday, March 31, via livenation.com.
