Thank goodness for Matt Groening!
Futurama is getting it's own video game. This is the only appropriate response for this news.
Everyone’s favorite cartoon, Futurama is coming back - but not in the way you expect. TinyCo and FoxNext will be releasing a video game version of the show called Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow. What is even more exciting is that the original creators of the show helped to develop the game.

Matt Groening, Executive Producer of Futurama and The Simpsons told Geek.com “I love this game because it feels like Futurama. Except now you get to jab the character in the face.”
Rough Draft Studios, the company who originally produced the show will also be creating the game. According to the press release this addition will “bring the show’s trademark humor, signature visual style, and ensemble comedy adventure to mobile players everywhere.”
David X. Cohen, co-developer and Executive Producer of Futurama game fans a glimpse as to what they can expect for the upcoming game. He stated “We’ve got completely new stories from the original writers, cast, and animators. This is the real Futurama deal.”
The original voices of the show will also be voicing the characters in the game. Fans will hear Billy West as Fry, Professor Farnsworth and Dr. Zoidberg, Katey Sagal as Leela, and John DiMaggio as Bender.
If this game is going to be anything like “The Simpsons: Tapped Out”, we are sure the game is going to be true to the original and highly addicting. For those who are unaware of the phone app, the game allowed users to create their own version of Springfield. Players were allowed to use a series of buildings and characters from the series, but manipulate them in their own way.
Finally made it to lvl 100 on @TheSimpsons Tapped Out ??
Just like The Simpson’s game, we can expect to see Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow available on the App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon Appstore this summer. There isn’t much information about this game, but if you would like frequent updates on what’s happening you can click here.
Regardless, we’re sure the game will be addicting, fun, and make us want to re-watch the entire series again.
