By now, we’ve all seen Metallica’s performance with Lady Gaga on The GRAMMYs and the way James Hetfield kicked over his microphone after the performance, but apparently Hetfield’s rage about the audio issue didn’t stop there.
Lars Ulrich was on The Late Late Show with James Corden last night (February 14) and talked about the aftermath and said he’d never seen Hetfield that angry in “20 years” and that he was absolutely “livid.”
James asks Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich about James Hetfield's microphone issues during their GRAMMYs performance before Lars recalls having to drum underneath a stage thanks to a broken elevator.
Honestly, could you blame Hetfield? Frankly, we would’ve done more than just knock down a microphone.
Fortunately, video from the web feed of the performance has surfaced which includes all of Hetfield’s vocals. Spoiler: They sound great.
Metallica & Lady Gaga with James' mic turned on and no sync issues
