Def Leppard is getting ready to get back on the road, announcing its first concert dates for 2017.
The group will play at four spring festivals: Monster Energy Fort Rock on April 29 in Fort Myers, Fla.; Welcome To Rockville, April 30 in Jacksonville, Fla.; Carolina Rebellion, May 6 in Concord, N.C.; and The Bud Light River City Rockfest, May 27 in San Antonio.
Guitarist Phil Collen, meanwhile, tells us that plenty more is coming for the year:
"We kick off in April and hopefully we'll be getting some new music together during the tour and after as well. That's going to keep us going pretty much most of next year (2017) as well."
Def Leppard is planning its usual full-scale summer tour but has not yet announced dates or a touring partner. The group's self-titled 2015 release was named Best Album at the Classic Rock Roll of Honour awards last fall in Tokyo.
Def Leppard releases a concert CD and video, And There Will Be A Next Time -- Live From Detroit, on February 10.
