Dio, Lemmy To Be Inducted Into Hall Of Heavy Metal History

Iconic late frontmen Ronnie James Dio and Lemmy Killmister will be among the nine 2017 inductees into the Hall of Heavy Metal History during a ceremony that will take place January 18 in Anaheim, Calif.

They'll be joined by guitarists Randy Rhoads (Ozzy Osbourne, Quiet Riot) and Ross "The Boss" Friedman (Manowar), bassist Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Osbourne, Whitesnake) and drummers Vinnie Appice (Black Sabbath, Dio) and Frankie Benali (Quiet Riot), as well as Andy Zildjian, president and CEO of the Sabian Cymbals company.

The ceremony will feature a red carpet reception and musical performances throughout the night, with performers and other participants to be announced soon. Tickets ranging from $25-$100 are currently on sale at TheHallOfHeavyMetalHistory.org.
