New Live LP Revisits Mike Watt/Eddie Vedder/Foo Fighters Tour

A document of one of alternative rock's most memorable tours is coming this fall.

Former Minutemen/fIREHOSE bassist Mike Watt's "Ring Spiel Tour '95" comes out November 11, featuring his first solo tour on which his backing band included Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder on guitar and Dave Grohl on drums and fellow Foo Fighters William Goldsmith and Pat Smear.

Though promoting Watt's then-new debut solo album, the all-star Ball-Hog or Tugboat?, the tour was also known as the first national trek by Foo Fighters, while Vedder also played an opening set with his band Hovercraft (which included his then-wife Beth Liebling on bass).

Watt has gone on to record several more solo albums, and he was part of the Stooges from 2003 until its final dissolution earlier this year.
