Motörhead Launching New Beer

Motörhead fans will have a new brew to hoist in memory of the late Lemmy Kilmister.

Surviving members Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee have partnered with Camerons Brewery in the U.K. for Motorhead Road Crew Beer, an American-style pale ale that's due out later this year. Named after the group's 1980 track "(We Are) The Road Crew" from the Ace of Spades album, the beer will have a 4.5 percent ABV in keg and cask, and 5 percent in bottle.

Camerons worked with Motörhead previously on its Bastards Lager in 2012 and Imperial craft beer in 2015.

In a statement guitarist Campbell says that, "It has been great fun working with the guys from Camerons on this beer. This is going to be an excellent beer for all Motörhead and rock fans around the world to enjoy."

Dee adds that, "I'm proud to have been able to develop this beer with Camerons. The trials we have tasted have been great. We wanted this to be an exciting and refreshing brew which is for you, our road crew."

Road Crew Beer should begin distribution this fall. Dee recently signed on as the new drummer for Scorpions, while Campbell will be releasing an EP this fall with his children, billed as the Bastard Sons.
