Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder and Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell are coming to Netflix this fall -- in a manner of speaking.
"Beat Bugs," a new animated series featuring Beatles songs sung by other artists, debuts August 3 on the streaming service, with a second season already scheduled to begin on November 18.
The series will feature performances Vedder ("Magical Mystery Tour"), Cornell ("Drive My Car"), Rod Stewart ("Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band"), CBS late night host James Corden ("I'm A Loser"), Pink ("Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds"), and more.
The Beat Bugs animated group will also perform its own versions of Beatles songs. A soundtrack from the first season will be released August 3 exclusively on Apple Music and on CD November 4, along with a "best of" compilation from the first two seasons. A soundtrack for the second season will come in November.
