Today (July 9th) is Jack White’s birthday. The eccentric Detroiter is known for his unique musical style and off-the-wall business tactics. He invented the triple decker record, released songs into the sky with balloons, and even might’ve upholstered your old couch. So, in honor of his birthday, we give you five things that remind us of Jack White.
Elvis
He played Elvis Presley in the movie Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. Maybe there’s a place for him in the Vegas circuit when he’s old and overweight and ready to retire.

The moon landing
White was interviewed by Buzz Aldrin, who is reportedly one of White’s biggest role models, for Interview Magazine. Maybe White will record the soundtrack for the next moon landing.
Rain
According to the New York Times, he had microphones installed in the gutters of his house so he can hear the rain when he falls asleep. At this point, nothing about Jack White surprises us anymore.
DIY
Jack White built his own guitar in the documentary It Might Get Loud. Can’t afford one yourself? Get some wood, string and a coke bottle and you’re good to go.

Guinness
White set the record for the world’s fastest record in 2014. It was recorded, pressed, delivered and sold in 3 hours, 55 minutes and 21 seconds. Not even the Beatles were that prolific!
