Jack White never really left, so I guess to say he’s back isn’t really correct. He’s been busy doing all sorts of things like running Third Man Records, he was Record Store Day Ambassador in 2013, hung out with Neil Young and even helped pay off the tax debt down at the Masonic Temple. (Thanks for that, by the way!) 2012’s Blunderbuss was his first U.S. #1 album and also debuted at #1 in Canada, the UK and Switzerland. It also racked up a few Grammy nominations and fell in the category for Album of the Year.
Let’s travel now to the current day and see what Jack has going on. Well, he’s just announced that he’ll be doing TWO shows downtown this summer! July 28th at the Fox and July 30th at the Masonic Temple. You think he’ll play in the Jack White Theatre? This will all take place AFTER he releases his new album Lazaretto on June 10th. You can listen to the first release off the album below. It’s called “High Ball Stepper” and you can feel every beat of this song in your soul.
